I was raised in Christian Science -- my mother is a Christian Science practitioner as well. At an early age I learned that
God is Love. While growing up in the countryside (Chico, CA) my first patients were the neighborhood animals -- wild
and domestic. As a child the immediacy of their healings made an impression but at the same time it was expected. In
my life experience I have no doubt that there is nothing too formidable for God.
In 1990 I graduated from Menlo College, (Atherton, CA) earning Bachelor of Science Degree with an emphasis in
business administration. From there I moved to Ocean Beach in San Francisco, and served in various capacities (1990-
1995) at Arden Wood, Inc. -- a Christian Science nursing facility. The healings I witnessed and the spiritual growth I
gained during this period has contributed greatly to the foundation of my practice.
The next chapter in my life took me to central Mexico. Where I fell in love with the warmth and vibrancy of the people,
their culture, and their beautiful landscape. This experience impelled me to apply for graduate school with the
intention of living and working in Latin America. For the latter part of 1995 I attended an intensive Spanish program at
the Monterrey Institute of International Studies (Monterey, CA). While Monterey was a wonderful experience I
realized that the close proximity of the ocean and my passion for surfing might interfere with my studies. Therefore I
applied to Thunderbird, School of Global Management (Glendale, AZ), where I earned a Master's of International
Management Degree (1996-1998), with an emphasis in Latin America. During this time I spent one month in Chile and in
Peru studying their culture and economies. I was so enamored with Peru that I visited there again for a month's time in
1998 with the intention of securing employment. After a few adventures, one of which included seeing God's protective
hand foiling a group of men attempting to kidnap me, I realized that my heart is in California.
Upon graduating from Thunderbird, I moved to San Diego and worked in the financial services industry for five years
(1999 – 2004). At the same time I continued to practice Christian Science healing on the side. Most of my patients in
those days were non Christian Scientists. It was natural to offer help to others whose curative methods were not
working out. The satisfaction of helping those in need of something better inevitably led me to leave the corporate
world, in February 2004, to enter the full time healing practice.
Currently I reside in Pacific Beach, where I recently finished a three year term as First Reader at Seventh Church of
Christ, Scientist (San Diego). I have also served on the Board of Directors at Sunland Home Foundation. I still find time
to get a surf in now and then. However, my biggest joy is spending time with my son.
